Lincoln Structural Solutions is currently hiring.
Lincoln Structural Solutions is expanding and we’re looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined individual to join our materials testing team. This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll be creating and testing metal specimens used in industrial applications. No prior lab experience is required — we will fully train the right candidate — but you must be someone who likes working with tools, machines, and precision equipment.
THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN LOUISVILLE, NE
Responsibilities:
- Prepare tensile and Charpy impact test specimens
- Operate CNC equipment and waterjet cutting equipment to machine samples
- Perform tensile and Charpy impact testing using industry-standard testing machines
- Follow detailed procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and full traceability
- Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely and responsibly
- Maintain organization, documentation, and testing workflow
- Support continuous improvement and quality-focused work practices
- Help out in other testing, warehouse and production departments, as needed

- Has good dexterity and can work precisely and carefully
- Is eager to learn new skills and grow in a technical environment
Experience in woodworking, metalworking, machining, fabrication, automotive work, shop class, trades, or similar hands-on work is a big plus — but not required.
Requirements:
- Must be dependable and reliable (this is critical)
- Willingness to learn and follow procedures
- Mechanically inclined mindset
- Ability to work safely and attentively
- Must have dependable transportation to Louisville, Nebraska
- Must be able to stand, move materials, and work in a shop/testing environment; must be able to lift heavy material.
LSS is committed to providing the necessary training in order for you to be successful and grow within the company. Training will include operating CNC, testing and inspection equipment, proper handling of steel, learning about steel and steel properties and much more.
Potential growth opportunities exist in laboratory testing and inspection roles, machinist roles and quality assurance roles.
